We haven't heard much about Minecraft Earth in a while. It's an augmented reality version Mojang's game that turns the real world into a playground full of your blocky creations. The company said a beta version of the game would arrive this summer , and now it's out, along with a brand new trailer, the company has announced that it will launch on iOS within the next two weeks with Android following "soon afterward." The iOS-first launch isn't surprising after we had our first peek at live gameplay during WWDC last month. While this new trailer has lots of details on how you'll play the game, interested players may want to revisit the Apple demo to get a impressions of the experience to play in the virtual Minecraft world with their friends. PAXTON'S BLOG The virtual world will overlay the real one. You'll need to sign up here for the game that is free. According to the FAQ, your device must be running iOS 10 or Android 7. Access to the game is restricted as they adjust the load to servers. However you must be active to continue playing. If you do not play for seven consecutive days, another player will be able to take your place.
